Journey Through Music

Musical Journey Through Anika's Life

The video assignment this week was the make a mash up of videos/music/etc.  I decided to create a mash up of different music videos of musicians I have liked over the years.  This week was also a lesson in copyright and boy have a learned a little bit.  I even went through YouTube's Copyright school. Please enjoy!

  1. Hi Anika, Nice work on the mash-up. You mentioned having to learn a lot about copyright... I would think so with music videos. Are all of these creative commons? public domain? what are the rules for these?

  2. Great video this week. I love the music and have fond memories of the beginning clips. You definitely went a little edgier as time progressed. I, personally don't know all the bands so if captions didn't name them all, that might have been helpful. I apologize if I missed captions on some.

    Nice job!

  3. Anika,

I enjoyed your mash ups on music. I was very fond of my boy bands, but that has definitely changed. Your progression also shows the transition from youngster to adult!

  4. I really enjoyed your video- nicely done! I did notice though- while you have definitely changed your music choices since boy bands, the tempo and beats of the music you included were largely the same, with only slight variances.

It made it more interesting than normal to watch your video- a transformation and not at the same time.

  5. Great work on video, nice fade outs of audio. I did not know many of the entertainers, and was eager to see who they were:( ...credits page.

    1. I did have a credits page at the end of the video listing the artists and songs in order of appearence, but with your comment and a few others I should think next time to have the artist and song name appear at the same time the video and song do.

    2. Sorry I did not think I saw the credits page, but both would work. At the end though is a standard way of crediting authors/artists, but again I think both ways will work.
